Overview

The 27th Conference of Parties of the UNFCCC (COP27) taking place in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt in November 2022 is the landmark climate event for the calendar year. It will bring together actors from government, private sector, civil society, industry and academia for two weeks to develop pathways and measure progress toward achieving our climate targets and ensure we are delivering a just & equitable energy transition. In recognition of the critical role that women and youth will play on the road to and at COP27, Sustainable Energy for ALL (SEforALL) is committed to ensuring that women and youth can access and be represented within all facets of the energy transition and climate change, including a presence at international fora where energy-related decision making occurs.

As such, SEforALL seeks to sponsor 10 young women between the ages of 18-29 from the Global South to attend this year’s COP in Sharm El-Sheikh. Sponsorship will include flights, transportation, accommodation, and living expenses for a period of time (TBD) during the COP programming.
