Overview of International Student Excellence Scholarship

A Scholarship for new International undergraduate and postgraduate students, up to $10,000 towards compulsory tuition fees.

Applicable study: Full-time enrolment in a PGDip or Masters Degree of 120 points or more, excluding masters by thesis, or an undergraduate degree (with overseas secondary or post-secondary qualifications) by new full fee paying international students     
Opening date: 10 October 2022 (Semester One intake) and 9 March 2023 (Semester Two intake)
Closing date: 21 November 2022 (Semester One intake) and 20 April 2023 (Semester Two intake)
Tenure: One year
For: Tuition fees
Number on offer: Up to 50
Offer rate: Bi-annually
Value: Up to $10,000 for either postgraduate study or undergraduate study

The University of Auckland International Student Excellence Scholarship was established in 2016.

The main purpose of the International Student Excellence Scholarship is to attract new international students of high calibre to enrol in undergraduate or postgraduate taught study of one year or more at Waipapa Taumata Rau | University of Auckland.

All sections (including request sections) must be completed by the closing date, which is midnight on the specified date (unless stated otherwise). We recommend you do not have two different scholarship applications open within the same browser.

Outcomes are determined by a selection committee and are usually notified around eight weeks after the closing date.
