Internship Positions At The UNFCCC Secretariat

The UNFCCC Secretariats has eight open internship positions to work as part of its team. Apply now!
The UNFCCC Secretariat is responsible for negotiating the Paris Agreement on climate change. It also works to ensure that countries meet their commitments under the agreement. To learn more about this important organization, visit here

The internship positions are in the following divisions:

 Loss and Damage, Adaptation division

The Loss and Damage (LD) Division is responsible for ensuring that developing country Parties are able to cope with the impacts of loss and damage resulting from climate change. This includes helping them adapt to these impacts and mitigate against future losses and damages.

 Gender climate change, Communications and Engagement division

The LD Division works closely with other divisions within the Secretariat to ensure that the work of the Convention is effectively communicated to the public at large. It also supports the implementation of the Convention by providing technical assistance to developing countries and supporting the development of national capacity.

Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE) Communications, Communications and Engagement division
The ACE Communications, Communications and Engagements Division provides support to the Secretariat in the areas of communications, media relations, stakeholder engagement, social media, and web design.

 Paris Committee on Capacity Building (PCCB) and negotiations, Means of Implementation division

PCCB is responsible for capacity building activities related to the implementation of the Convention and the Kyoto Protocol. It also supports the preparation of the Fifth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC AR5).
