2023 Green Climate Fund Internship programme
Join the Green Climate Fund Internship programme– The 2023 internship cohort is now open!
The Green Climate Fund internship programme provides a unique learning opportunity for students and recent graduates from diverse academic backgrounds. GCF encourage qualified people, in particular, nationals of developing countries with diverse professional, academic, and cultural backgrounds to apply.
The program is designed for talented and motivated individuals skilled in areas relevant to GCF’s operations and provides a USD 1,000 per month allowance to all interns. The program allows selected candidates to gain insight into the work of the Fund and provides assistance and training in various professional fields in a multicultural environment.
To be eligible for the Green Climate Fund Internship programme, candidates must:
- Be enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program prior to internship assignment, or a recent graduate
- Be engaged or recently engaged in academic study in a field directly related to the Fund’s work
- Possess an excellent command of English
Selection Process
The Green Climate Fund Internship programme is a 6-month programme. Recruitment for these internships may happen twice a year based on the the Fund’s needs. Considering the current COVID-19 pandemic, recruitment drives may largely be done through local universities or institutions in South Korea.
Nevertheless, GCF still aim to attract candidates from diverse backgrounds and nationalities. Applications should be submitted through GCF career site where they also offer application tips and where you will find some frequently asked questions about GCF’s recruitment process. Only selected candidates will hear back from GCF throughout the recruitment process.
