Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement through a range of activities, including substantive and
organizational support to meetings of the Parties and the implementation of commitments. It is a
dynamic organization working in a politically challenging environment to help resolve one of the defining
environmental issues of our time.
The UNFCCC is a global agreement, under which governments from nearly 200 countries are working together to combat climate change. It has two main goals – to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases and to adapt to the impacts of climate change. UNFCCC focuses on helping vulnerable countries mitigate and adapt through its numerous programs, while providing assistance with technology development and transfer.
