GIZ is Recruiting for United Nations Sector Project Intern role (Paid Internship): Apply Now!
A better life for everyone and meaningful tasks for its employees – that is GIZ model for success. For more than 50 years, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), as a German government company, has been supporting the global implementation of development policy goals. Together with partner organizations in 120 countries, GIZ is involved in a wide variety of projects. If you want to make a difference in the world and develop yourself in the process, you have come to the right place.
Field of Activity
The United Nations and its development system (DSNS) are essential multilateral partners for German development cooperation and the design and implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as well as the reform of the global governance system, which will reach a high point in the reform process of global structural policy with the UN Secretary-General’s “Our Common Agenda” and the upcoming Future Summit in 2024.
The GIZ sector project “Promoting Sustainable Development through Cooperation with the United Nations” supports the policy-making of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the profiling of Germany’s multilateral development cooperation and cooperation with the organizations of the United Nations development system.
The BMZ’s new multilateral strategy guides the project’s actions and deepens its implementation in the United Nations. The project follows a systemic approach in which it advises the BMZ on its policy-making and steering work, while at the same time designing processes with selected organizations in the UN development system that are relevant for far-reaching reforms. It also supports the BMZ in its engagement within alliances and networks in the like-minded circle.
GIZ believes that being involved in this topic as a United Nations Sector Project intern in these times is a special opportunity.
