Background
BRICS is an intergovernmental alliance of 10 countries: Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India and Iran. The motto of Russia’s BRICS chairmanship in 2024 is “Strengthening Multilateralism for Equitable Global Development and Security.” The priorities of the Russian Federation include cooperation in the field of science and research, high-tech, healthcare, energy, ecology, culture, sports, youth exchanges and people-to-people dialogue.
As part of its chairmanship, Russia holds over 200 events of various levels and focuses which will take place all across Russia.The BRICS Heads of State Summit will be held on 22-24 October 2024 in Kazan, Russia. The BRICS Youth Energy Summit will be held on 27-28 September in Moscow, Russia.
About the VI BRICS Youth Energy Summit
The BRICS Youth Energy Agency, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom are pleased to announce the start of registration for the VI BRICS Youth Energy Summit on 27-28 September in Moscow, Russia, as part of the Official Plan of the Russian BRICS Presidency 2024. The Summit will be held on several venues in Moscow, including the Russian Energy Week 2024 at Manege Central Exhibition Hall just across the street from the Moscow Kremlin and will become one of key events of the BRICS Energy Week 2024.
The Summit is expected to accommodate 120 delegates from BRICS and partner countries, feature 10 high-level and thematic sessions, including intergenerational panels, and the presentation of the BRICS Youth Energy Outlook 2024. For the first time, the Summit will host the Energy Organizations Young Leaders’ Meeting. The delegates will be offered a cultural experience program in Moscow, including a visit to the brand new Atom Pavilion at the Russia EXPO Park, and technical tours to see innovative energy infrastructure. The Summit will be held in a hybrid mode.

BRICS YEA with support of its partners will distribute approximately 50 partial and full bursaries to attend the Summit, covering accommodation, round-trip flights and meals at the venue.
