Applications are now open for the Nivishe Mental Health Fellowship Cohort 5!

Overview

The Nivishe Mental Health Fellowship is a 12-week virtual program designed to equip changemakers with the skills and knowledge needed to advocate for mental health in their communities. The Nivishe Mental Health fellowship will take place every Saturday, providing a collaborative learning space for emerging leaders committed to addressing mental health challenges.

Who Should Apply?

Nivishe Foundation is looking for passionate individuals who:

  1. Are committed to eliminating mental health disparities and promoting mental well-being in their communities.
  2. Are 18 years and above (18-35)
  3. Are currently interested or engaged in mental health-related work in any capacity (e.g., advocacy, service provision, research, community organizing).
  4. Hold or aspire to leadership positions, such as youth leaders, community organizers, educators, or professionals in healthcare, education, or social work.
  5. Value diverse perspectives and are willing to engage in critical discussions on mental health.
  6. Have reliable internet access and can actively participate in virtual sessions.

Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrated Leadership & Experience – Strength of application, highlighting past achievements, initiatives, or roles that showcase commitment to mental health.
  2. Commitment & Availability – Willingness and ability to dedicate the required time for sessions, assignments, and group work.
  3. Diversity & Inclusion – Nivishe Foundation seeks to build a cohort that represents diverse lived experiences and backgrounds.

Expectations from Selected Fellows

  • Attend weekly virtual sessions (~12-week commitment).
  • Dedicate 6 hours per month for assignments, group discussions, and collaborative activities.
  • Be proficient in English, as the program will be conducted in English.
  • Has direct access to their communities and will implement a community action project as part of the fellowship   

Important Notes

  • This is a fully funded virtual fellowship, and no fees will be charged.
  • However, Nivishe Foundation does not provide financial support for internet access or any other personal expenses related to participation.
