Job Opportunity: Senior Associate, Member Growth & Demand Partnerships

Objectives

  • Lead the expansion of AMDA’s membership, with a focus on EPCs, OEMs, financiers, productive use solution providers, and other associate members.
  • Oversee and support the Member Engagement Associate to ensure strong member communications, value delivery, satisfaction tracking, and visibility efforts.
  • Refine AMDA’s membership value proposition in collaboration with the executive team to reflect evolving sector needs and member expectations.
  • Maintain and oversee a structured member onboarding process and database for effective tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure that feedback from members is synthesised and channelled into AMDA’s core programmes, advocacy, and service design.

Job Opportunity: Accounting and Administrative Associate

Objectives

  • Assisting with both clerical and administrative work
  • Posting transactions in the accounting software
  • Filing all documents and maintaining sequential
  • Member Invoicing
  • Managing office petty cash
  • Filing and payment of statutory deductions.
  • Managing accounts payable and receivables.
  • Bank reconciliations and client/supplier accounts reconciliation.
  • Filing and payment Paye, SHIF, NSSF & Withholding Taxes.
  • Support with budget monitoring

Job Opportunity: Research and Data Associate

Objectives

  • Collect, clean, and analyze data on the minigrid sector in Africa. This includes gathering data from a variety of sources, such as government reports, industry surveys, and academic research. The Research Data Associate will also be responsible for cleaning and preparing the data for analysis.
  • Research minigrid-related topics. This could include topics such as the cost of minigrids, the impact of minigrids on economic development, and the challenges and opportunities facing the minigrid sector. The Research Data Associate will use their analytical skills to produce meaningful insights from the data.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials that use data to tell the story of the minigrid sector. The Research Data Associate will be responsible for communicating their research findings to a variety of audiences, including AMDA members, donors, government officials, and the media. They will need to be able to communicate complex data clearly and concisely.

Job Opportunity: Intern, Access to Capital

Objectives

  • Conduct market research to identify funding opportunities for minigrids
  • Support in identifying and establishing strong relationships with private minigrid investors, development partners, and financial institutions
  • Support in organizing finance workshops aimed at broadening members’ knowledge and understanding of minigrid financing
  • Support in conducting data collection, analysis, and presentation
  • Assist in advocating for favorable economic and financial policies in the minigrid sector.
  • Support in drafting articles and position papers advocating for investment in the minigrid sector.
