Call for Expression of Interest to join the UNESCO Global Youth Community: Apply Now

UNESCO is inviting young leaders to join the Global Youth Community (GYC) — a vibrant, youth-led platform where you can collaborate with inspiring peers worldwide, share your ideas, and co-create solutions for a sustainable and inclusive future.

About the GYC

The UNESCO Global Youth Community (GYC) is intended to bring together different youth engagement streams, to facilitate youth-to-youth collaboration and intergenerational learning for long-term cooperation among youth and with UNESCO. The GYC will also enable a more diversified, inclusive and rich engagement of youth to UNESCO’s strategic thinking, programme design and delivery. 

How to get involved

Here is how you can get involved as an Individual, Youth Organization or Network in the UNESCO Global Youth Community:

1 – Fill out the questionnaire “Expression of Interest“. 
2 – You will receive an email at your registered email from SharePoint Online (no-reply@sharepointonline.com) to access the application form. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER. 
3 – Following the link provided in the email, you will be able to access and fill in the application form in all its parts. 
4 – Once your request is approved, you or your organization/network will be granted membership and full access to the GYC platform.

Membership Criteria for Individuals

-Age range: 18-35 years old
– Study or work in one or more of the UNESCO areas of competence: Education; Natural Sciences; Social and Human Sciences; Culture; Communication and Information

Membership Criteria for Youth Organizations and Networks

– Be a youth-led, youth-focused, organization/network active at grassroots/local, national, regional and/or global level.
– Be a participatory, non-discriminatory, democratic, transparent organization/network working in one or more of the UNESCO areas of competence (Education, Natural Sciences, Social and Human Sciences, Culture, Communication, and Information).
– Be formally registered as an association or organization at national or international level.
– If your organization or Network is not registered, please send us an email (gyc@unesco.org), and we will find a solution.
