Overview
MicroEnergy International is proud to launch the Detailed Preparation Phase of the E-WATER Programme (Energy for Water Access Through Efficiency & Renewables) — a large-scale mitigation action supported by the Mitigation Action Facility (MAF) through GIZ, targeting renewable energy and energy efficiency investments across ~70 Water Service Providers in Kenya.
To make this happen, MicroEnergy International is looking for five exceptional consultants based in Kenya. The Kenya-based consultants will support the E-WATER Programme DPP. Roles span energy auditing, financial modelling & investment structuring, legal & blended finance, ISEA, and GESI and include the following roles:
- ⚡ Energy Auditor — establish energy baselines, identify EE/RE investments, and build institutional capacity at WSPs
- 📊 Financial Modelling & Investment Structuring Expert — operationalise a blended-finance facility that mobilises commercial capital for clean water infrastructure
- ⚖️ Legal & Blended Finance Structuring Consultant — design the contractual and regulatory framework enabling WSP–ESCO partnerships
- 🌱 ISEA Consultant — deliver an Integrated Strategic Environmental & Social Assessment and safeguards framework
- ♀️ GESI Consultant — embed gender equality and social inclusion principles across the full programme
All roles are Kenya-based, and open to individuals and firms. Proposals are due 29 May 2026.
