About the Fuller in-Residence Cohort 2 Program

We are looking for the most unconventional ideas that have the potential to disrupt existing systems and make a significant, positive impact on the lives of people in our communities.
Who can apply?

• You must be a Mastercard Foundation Scholar/Alumni.
• You must be part of the Baobab Community.
• Your idea/project must be related to tech.

Selection Process

• Evaluate applications from potential founders
• Conduct interviews with shortlisted candidates
• Select 4-5 ideas to work on

Concept Development

• Assign a Project Manager
• Product design and prototyping
• Understanding the user experience (UX) of the product

Market Research and Validation

• Guide founders in conducting market research
• Assist in identifying target customers
• Validate business models through research and testing

Product Development and Implementation

• Assign Developer/s
• Develop a minimum viable product (MVP) or prototype
• Provide regular progress assessments
• Help founders stay on track to achieve their goals
• Launch product

Business Planning

• Conduct workshops on financial management
• Marketing strategies and Branding
• Discuss legal considerations for startups
• Guide founders in developing business plans

Demo Day

• Assist founders in refining their pitches
• Prepare founders for the culminating event
• Facilitate presentations to showcase products with Mastercard Foundation Community

Post-Program Support

• Provide ongoing mentorship and support to successful founders
• Help founders maintain their technology and keep innovating
• Establish an alumni network for collaboration and knowledge-sharing
