About the COP28 UAE Volunteer role:
As a Welcome COP28 UAE Volunteer you’ll create a welcoming and vibrant event atmosphere for COP28 guests at the Expo City Dubai site. You will provide information and offer support about the site. You’ll also provide wayfinding and directional assistance, to ensure all visitors enjoy an exceptional and unforgettable experience.
This role will require regular engagement with visitors, being outdoors for long periods of time and working in varied light conditions. We will support all volunteers in fulfilling this role, including People of Determination and their Personal Assistant (if applicable). We will provide all necessary training, and a team leader will always support you on shift.
What do you need to perform this COP28 UAE Volunteer role?
- Customer service skills and comfortable speaking to large groups of visitors
- A positive attitude combined with an understanding of the importance of teamwork
- Strong listening and communication skills

To be eligible for this opportunity, you:
- Must be 18 years of age by 1 June 2023
- Must have a valid Emirates ID
- Will be able to reach the Expo City Dubai site from your accommodation
- Will be available to volunteer for a minimum of 6 shifts between the dates of 30 November to 12 December 2023
- Will be available to volunteer for shifts within the hours of 9:00am to 10:00pm. (Shifts will be a maximum of 9 hours).
- Have fluent English language skills
- Have a passion for Sustainability, with demonstrated interest and/or experience in the Climate Change sector
