Location: The successful candidate may be based in a country where one of the independent National/Regional Greenpeace organisations (NRO’s) is located. See the locations here.

Greenpeace International (GPI) is seeking a Recruitment Coordinator to join our ambitious Recruitment Team to play a key role in coordinating and supporting the GPI recruitment process. As the primary contact for recruitment within the GPI People & Culture team, you will support your team, hiring managers, job seekers and HR Partners with ongoing recruitments.

Additionally, you will be responsible for managing a high volume of job vacancies, including creation of job adverts, posting of job adverts in multiple sources including LinkedIn, administration of our ATS, reviewing applications and creating longlists for hiring managers, corresponding with candidates and hiring managers, and other related administrative and reporting functions of the recruitment process.

In this role Recruitment Coordinator you will:

  • Act as key contact for recruiting questions from job seekers and Hiring Managers.
  • Work with the Hiring Manager and Recruitment Team members to prepare and coordinate appropriate job adverts and advertising campaigns.
  • Manage our applicant tracking system (Recruitee) ensuring the system is used as effectively and provide ad hoc training as necessary.
  • Screen applications for job vacancies, creating longlists for panels to shortlist.
  • Provide clear and timely information and guidance to Hiring Managers in relation to shortlisting and interview procedures.
  • Set up interviews, ensuring all candidates receive timely and accurate information regarding the progress of their application.
  • Coordinates reference checks with the Hiring Manager and support offer stage as necessary.
  • Makes recommendations for the improvement of our recruitment processes and procedures.
  • Collaborates on ongoing recruitment projects to further improve our recruitment practices.

Recruitment Coordinator Job requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • Generalist Administrative experience, gained in a HR role is preferable but not essential.
  • Experience of managing the recruitment cycle in a fast paced environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking systems and LinkedIn is preferred
  • Experience of developing and embedding improvements to administrative processes.
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
  • Literate in main computer functions (Google documents, Zoom, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Experience of working with confidential information
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in a team and autonomously
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Strong organizational, time management and follow-up skills
  • Approaches work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude
  • Support for and belief in the core aims and values of Greenpeace.
