Greenpeace International (GPI) is looking for a Senior Fundraising Analyst to use data analysis skills and experience to support our global organisation.

As a Fundraising Analyst, you will be at the forefront of driving fundraising success. You will be responsible for analysing and interpreting fundraising data to optimise our decision making, generate insights, create comprehensive reports, prepare and manage data and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

In this Fundraising Analyst role you will:

  • Lead on fundraising data analysis to offer insights and recommendations to inform Greenpeace decisions, projects and stakeholders.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of reports and dashboards, as well as all supporting duties including stakeholder consultation, business analysis and design work.
  • Take responsibility for producing valid and actionable insights from data sources within fundraising – including ongoing fundraising performance monitoring.
  • Communicate analysis and insights to stakeholders.
  • Scenario planning to help inform strategic decision making
  • Contribute to the development, review and refinement of data strategies by providing timely input and feedback to management based on your own domain of expertise and experience.
  • Take responsibility for data collection, data cleaning, data munging, data tagging and other data preparation needed to deliver required reporting and analysis tasks.
  • Support the delivery of automated Extract Load Transform (ELT) data pipelines and reporting pipelines.
  • Take a leadership role in Greenpeace data communities to improve staff understanding of data analysis through case studies, running training, coaching and other community activities.
  • Contribute to the standardisation of data work across the Greenpeace network.
  • Coach and mentor other analysts on business knowledge, methodology and technology skills.

Fundraising Analyst Job requirements

What we’re looking for:

Remember no one has every skill or experience needed for this role and you’ll have the opportunity to learn a lot from the team. We believe someone who has a few of these is well suited to exceed in this role:

  • Significant experience in an analysis role – or equivalent experience gained through professional qualification.
  • Advanced skills and knowledge of analysis tools and technologies relevant to the role – including expert understanding of appropriate metrics.
  • Experience within the analysis domain, relevant to the team and its area of work.
  • Professional understanding of analysis methodologies and techniques.
  • Ideally, experience with data analysis programming languages and automated data management, including Visual Basic SQL, R and/or Python.
  • Ideally, experience with dashboard and reporting tools, e.g. Tableau and Google Looker Studio.
  • Experience designing and running trainings (in person or video conference) – ideally cross-cultural.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Experience of working with multicultural teams and across time zones.
  • Demonstrable support for and belief in the Greenpeace network core aims and values.
