Rosatom Corporate Academy together with Eskom Holding SOC are hosting the Female Summer School in STEM from 24 to 30 June 2024 in the city of the world’s first nuclear power plant, Obninsk. Application deadline: 28 April, 11:00 PM Central European Time. The Female Summer School in STEM is a one-week educational training program designed exclusively for female professionals and senior year students in nuclear studies and energy. The program includes hard- and soft-skill trainings, tech tours to R&D facilities, mentoring sessions and creative thinking practices — all to build a personal career strategy as a female professional or a leader. The hard-skill sessions address small module reactors, the Proryv Project, thermonuclear fusion, science quantum technologies, nuclear medicine, communications and marketing, career strategy. The target audience of the School are young female professionals who work in nuclear and STEM related areas, or senior year female students aspiring to build a successful career in energy field.The enrolled students will have a full access to Obninsk NEW International Youth Nuclear Forum on 26 June and celebrations of the Obninsk NPP 70th anniversary. Who can apply for the Female Summer School in STEM? Junior and middle-level female professionals in nuclear/energy Senior year students who aspire to build a career in energy Fluent in English (B1+) Bursaries: The organizers provide a reasonable number of partly funded bursaries which include school tuition, accommodation in Obninsk and Moscow, meals & local transportation. The students shall cover flights tickets to and from Moscow. Currently information about full bursaries is not available.
