Look no further, as our JPO Program offers you the opportunity to kick-start your career in the field of climate change and green growth. Join us, as our first ever JPO cohort, in our mission to create a sustainable future and become part of a global network of passionate professionals working towards a greener planet.

The Junior Professional Officer (JPO) Program is to provide early career professionals interested in pursuing an international career in green growth development with an opportunity to acquire hands-on international work experience at GGGI and to develop a talent pipeline for GGGI.

We are seeking individuals who are not only passionate about addressing climate change and promoting green growth but are also driven to turn their enthusiasm into impactful action. As a JPO at GGGI, you will have the chance to work alongside experienced experts and contribute to projects that aim to transform economies and communities worldwide. We value a proactive mindset, adaptability, and a strong desire to learn and grow in this fast-evolving field. If you have a background in areas such as environmental science, economics, policy, engineering, or other related fields, and are eager to apply your knowledge to drive sustainable development, we encourage you to apply.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A master’s degree in a relevant area in sustainable development, social sciences, life sciences, public policy, environment and other relevant disciplines. 
  • Two years post-graduate work experience in relevant areas. The experience can include internships, volunteering, and unpaid assignments. The experience can be gained within a candidate’s country or outside. 
  • Demonstrates commitment and passion to green growth through their academic studies and paid/unpaid work experience. 
  • Age 32 or under at the commencement of the program.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, ability to speak additional language pertaining to GGGI’s member countries would be a plus.
  • Must be a national of GGGI member countries [list of member countries]

WHAT WE OFFER

Under Inaugural Junior Professional Program GGGI offers tax free annual remuneration of USD 42,000 supplemented by up to USD 1,500 monthly accommodation allowance, relocation grant, home leave allowance and allowances for personal learning and development. GGGI does not provide dependent benefits, JPO may choose to bring dependents at their own expense. GGGI offers 27 days of annual leave, and private health insurance that covers dental and vision. GGGI is committed to providing a work environment that is sufficiently flexible to accommodate diverse life-cycle challenges and assist Staff members to achieve a better balance between work and personal/family commitments, thus ensuring high performance, long-term productivity, and well-being of Staff members.
