COP28 BADGE APPLICATION-FINAL CALL 2023. Apply Now!

Following the previous call on expression of interest to apply for accreditation for COP28 which will take place from 30th November to 12th December in Dubai, we are pleased to announce the re-opening of the COP28 BADGE APPLICATION final round of applications. 

Through various partners, YOUNGO has been assigned a number of badges to be allocated to active YOUNGO members. The badges will be allocated via the pool-badge allocation system established within YOUNGO in 2018.

The COP28 BADGE allocation is expected to be as follows:
– In line with principles of continuity of engagement, and at the same providing a welcoming space for new members to engage with YOUNGO
– Gender and regional balance would be maintained in the allocation, with a priority to enhance participation of females, other marginalized genders and youth from countries of the global south and most affected countries.-Applicant from oceania and southern,middle and eastern regions of Africa are highly recommended to apply -Only those who have approved funding can be accepted

A selection committee has been formed within the GCT and YOUNGO and will undertake a fair and inclusive selection process to determine who will receive the badges. The criteria for the selection of the representatives are those asked in this google application form, which include:
– understanding about the UNFCCC process
– their prior work in the youth/environment domain, especially YOUNGO
– plans for their participation at COP28
