SEO Law Fellowship
The SEO Law Fellowship Program offers scholarships, academic preparation, career development training and internship opportunities to talented, underserved incoming law students. Individuals selected for the Fellowship receive hands-on training from legal practitioners and academic instruction from law school professors, before embarking on an 8-week paid internship at a top corporate law firm – all before starting law school. Additionally, fellows receive ongoing academic support throughout their first year and lifetime access to over 21,000 SEO alumni globally, including over 1,700 attorneys in the SEO Law Alumni Network.
The SEO Law Scholarship Program offers three scholarships per year to help promising underrepresented incoming law students attend the law school of their choice. SEO Law awards one $10,000 scholarship and two $5,000 scholarships.

Applications for the 2024 program will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Please ensure your application is complete and ready for review at the time of submission.
- Application Deadline: Monday, March 4, 2024 at 12pm EST.
- Application and accompanying materials must be submitted and certified for authenticity by this deadline.
- Law School Enrollment Deadline: Monday, April 15, 2024 at 11:59pm EST
- Proof of law school enrollment form much be completed via applicant portal.
Application Qualifications
To qualify you must meet the following requirements:
Have a minimum GPA of 3.3
Must take the LSAT, GRE or GMAT at least once by application submission*
Have a minimum LSAT (or GRE, GMAT equivalent) of 154
Working Professional or graduating from a four-year college or university by May 2024
Prior U.S. work authorization for the duration of the Fellowship**
Applied to an ABA-accredited law school for matriculation in Fall 2024
* Latest LSAT to be considered will be the February 2024.
** Work authorization may not be obtained through the Fellowship’s summer employment.

Here’s what you need to have ready when you apply (all of the following sections must be completed before we can evaluate your candidacy):

- Personal details (name, address, email, demographic information, etc.)
- Law School Application details & status (may be updated regularly throughout the admissions cycle)
- Supporting Documentation:
- Resume (in SEO’s format: use this template!)
- LSAC Academic Summary
- Unofficial undergraduate and/or graduate transcript(s)
- Personal Statement
- Statement of Diversity and Perspective
- One (1) Reference (contacts will be asked to complete a standard SEO evaluation form)
- Law School Enrollment / Seat Deposit Confirmation
Timeline
2024 Fellowship Application Timeline:
- Application Opens: Monday, November 20, 2023
- Deadline: Monday, March 4, 2024 12:00 PM EST
- Interviews: invitations released on a rolling basis between January – April 2024
- Proof of Law School Enrollment: Monday, April 15, 2024 11:59 PM EST
- Admissions Decisions: on a rolling basis beginning March 2024 through end of April 2024
- Program Dates: May 2024 – August 2025
- Summer Internship: [tentatively] May 13, 2024 – August 2, 2024. In certain instances, Fellows may be asked to start or end their summer internship earlier or later.
- 1L Academic Support: August 2024- May 2025
- Professional Support: October 2024 – August 2025
- Do I need to have been admitted to law school in order to apply to the SEO Law Fellowship program?
- No, but you should have submitted an application to a law school by the time you apply to the Fellowship
