The UNFCCC Internship Opportunities include the following roles:

Climate Finance
The UNFCCC offers an incredible opportunity to participate in its Climate Finance intern program. This program equips young people with the skills, knowledge and experience required to work in the fast-paced world of climate finance and to foster collaborations between practitioners and experts in this field. It is open to citizens of all countries. This program provides invaluable hands-on training that is essential for aspiring professionals wanting to make a positive impact on climate action.

Climate Finance Implementation
Through the Internship Program, selected candidates will gain a unique insight into the actual implementation of climate finance projects. They will work closely with UNFCCC experts and partners from around the world in developing countries to analyse, plan and implement projects and instruments related to climate change mitigation and adaptation. This practical training offers an invaluable learning opportunity for those interested in being part of the solution to climate change.

Engagement Communications
The Intern will be responsible for supporting the Communications Team in managing the engagement and communications with stakeholders, as well as monitoring activities to inform UNFCCC Country Offices on relevant process updates. The activities include designing and implementing tailored outreach strategies to promote the program, tracking implementation of country-level projects, attending international conferences and other related activities.
