Context and Objective of the Youth Analyst Results Offer
The People Centered Programme works across SEforALL to tailor solutions for cross cutting energy sector challenges and opportunities – including gender equality, youth inclusion, and clean cooking across the board – while also implementing targeted, transformative projects in the sector.
The women and youth at the forefront programme is hiring for Youth Analyst to ensure that gender and youth perspectives are embedded in SDG7 policy and implemented and to create an enabling environment for increased access to professional development and economic opportunities in the climate and energy sphere.

Purpose/Objective of the Youth Analyst Role
The main objectives of the Youth Analyst role include the following:
- Support the development and implementation of SEforALL’s Gender and Youth Strategy including mainstreaming across SEforALL’s programmes and initiatives.
- Support the delivery of the broader People Centered Programmes objectives across energy access, energy transition and special project.
Main Duties and Tasks of the Youth Analyst Role
The main duties and tasks of the Youth Analyst role include, but are not limited to:
- Support implementation of activities alongside other members of the Women and Youth at the Forefront team, under the direction of the Programme Manager.
- Contribute to the development and management of relationships with SEforALL’s ongoing youth partners and stakeholders, such as the SDG7 Youth Constituency and Student Energy.
- Act as representative for SEforALL in various fora and global events focused on youth engagement. · Support the in-country implementation of women and youth activities.
- Support the development of SEforALL programming for youth focused events and youth participation in external events. · Provide fundraising support as requested.
- Draft and provide communications materials, including web stories, social media posts and presentations.
- Support monitoring, evaluation and learning processes including reporting on the women and youth related activities on a monthly / quarterly basis, utilizing the MEL framework provided.
- Facilitate knowledge building and knowledge sharing in own work area to bring about awareness and understanding, as well as utilise SEforALL systems and process to share the knowledge. e.g., Salesforce.
- Other tasks and duties as may be required.
Specific Competencies for the Youth Analyst Role
- Bachelor’s degree in public policy, economics, sustainable development, energy, or a closely related field. Relevant post-graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of three years of experience in youth engagement, international development and/or the energy field.
- Strong experience speaking in the youth energy space, representing youth at international fora.
- Desirable experience working with donors and stakeholders on partnerships.
- Excellent judgement, discretion, interpersonal skills, problem-solving capability, and comfort with protocol.
- Excellent public speaking skills, with preferred experience acting as a youth representative or speaking at global events on behalf of youth.
- Respect and understanding of various cultures and regions, with a high level of maturity and diplomacy needed to interact with various youth groups.

Salary information: The successful candidate will be offered an all-in daily rate determined depending on the successful candidate’s qualification and experience, and applying the principle of internal equity.
