Location: Flexible in Africa Region. Any country with an Oxfam office/presence (Kenya preferred), Subject to being able to establish a contract of employment directly or via hosting affiliate.
Contract: 4 years Fixed Term One Oxfam Grade: D1 Salary and benefits: National

Oxfam International is unable to guarantee the obtaining of a work permit for the role. Candidates must already have and be able to retain the legal right to work in the location where they are based. The Finance & Admin Coordinator Oxfam Role

This Finance & Admin Coordinator Oxfam position is designed to contribute technical expertise in finance and administrative support for the operations team. They will support in the areas of Financial, Compliance and Risk Management, grant management .to reach the ultimate goal of increased accountability and mitigation of risk within the Region. While closely working with countries, affiliates, and platform functions, serve as the primary resource for financial monitoring and Operational Compliance. This role will also provide finance support and coordination of multi-Country programs and program management units situated within OiA.

Finance & Admin Coordinator Key responsibilities
Technical
Business Processes – Budgeting, Reporting and Financial Monitoring Compile data for the yearly budgeting process
Support in the preparation of the financial summary presentation and Confederation Quarterly and Annual Reporting for the platform
Work closely with BSMs as the work with EA and countries to produce Monthly Financials and follow up on agreed Management actions.
Work with Finance and Grants Manager, while they Liaise with countries and Affiliates in order to setup standards in Grant Financial Management Support Multi-Country programs in budgeting, financial planning, and monitoring.

Finance & Admin Coordinator Ccountry and Platform Support
Support BSMs in liaising with countries and SAF cluster by coordinating efforts in provide support in planning, budgeting and reporting processes.
Provide administrative and financial analysis Support to BSMs as they work with countries in adhering to High Standards of Responsible Financial Management Perform regular and close monitoring of country operational performance.
Connect country to available expertise and contribute to providing them with effective business solutions.
Oversee Support and Admin services within the Platform while connecting strongly with System Analyst Instil strong links and proper collaboration with other functions.
Provide partner management and financial oversight to MCPs and PMUs within OiA Review financial trends from reports and highlight any systemic challenges to be flagged with EAs support financial risk management through adequate financial analysis and KPI monitoring. collaborate with audit and fraud support functions as well as with donor contract management on compliance activities. Provide advice and hands on support to multi country programs and PMUs on finance issues & follow up. Encourages and promotes continuous improvement in internal control approach, accounting, and financial donor administration. Support Head of Business Operations in ensuring that countries are meeting all regulatory requirements linked with reporting, legal and risk requirements. Work with Countries and EAs to synchronise country support engagements to reduces instances of duplication and bring about efficiency in country support. Do consolidation of donor reports for MCP managed by OiA Provide surge capacity to the platform finance team Available for short term cover to countries where EAs are not able to locate a resource in the short term.
Finance & Admin Coordinator Systems and Processes– Contribute to the improvement of tools, templates and off-system applications. Proactively provide solutions advice to mitigate the complexities of the Hosting and multiplicity of Affiliates EAs       Participate in Design and roll out of various tool and applications Lead on business support training for country teams – this includes providing training and capacity. building for country teams on policies, procedures, and support systems for instances where OI is the Business services provider.  
Finance & Admin Coordinator Leadership Competencies Support on the implementation and communication of Oxfam policies, strategies, procedures and tools related to internal audit and anti-corruption Coordinate efforts with other affiliates against fraud and corruption, facilitating sharing tools, knowledge and experiences
Finance & Admin Coordinator Management Competencies Contributes to maintenance of and be part of a strong Oxfam in Africa structure which works well with country and sub-regional teams and partners. Eager and required to adhere to Oxfam’s principles and values (click here) as well as the promotion of gender justice and women’s rights (click here).  Understanding of and commitment to adhere to equity, diversity, gender, child safety and staff health and wellbeing principles.  
We’re looking for a person with for Finance & Admin Coordinator role  
Deep understanding Of IRFS and ISA finance and accounting principles Experienced in preparing both Financial and Management accounts Experience and proficiency on financial software and reporting systems High Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs including Excel, Word and Outlook Self-guided, strong organizational and planning skills; Ability to work independently and under pressure Strong interpersonal communication skills; experience in team leadership and participatory management Strong organizational skills for completing tasks on time Strong written and oral communication skills in French and English
