The People Strategy Intern Position:
Under the direct supervision of UNFPA staff members in the Division for Human Resources, the 12+ interns will support their team in one (or more) of the following areas:

- HR Compensation, Policy & Data Analystics (Remote Preferred)
- HR Business Partner records, learning and recruitment (West and Central Africa Region – Remote Preferred)
- HR Business Partner recruitment & ERP system (HQ in New York – Remote Preferred)
- HR Business Partner recruitment & ERP system (Eastern Europe and Central Asia – Remote Preferred)
- HR Business Partner recruitment, ERP system and Learning & Development (Latin America – Panama Preferred)
- HR Business Partner recruitment and humanitarian support (Arab States – Egypt Preferred)
- HR Leadership, Learning & People Management Development (Remote Preferred)
- Talent Management & Career Development (Remote Preferred)
- HR Communications & Graphic Design (Remote Preferred)
Staff Well-Being
The People Strategy interns and their respective supervisors will agree upon an actionable work plan that clearly delineates the learning opportunities and achievements to be made during the duration of the internship. Periodic meetings will lead to a beneficial environment for the interns to enhance their skills and knowledge in areas related to UNFPA’s overarching mandates, the Division for Human Resources, and the new People Strategy.
People Strategy Intern Qualifications
Fluency in English (in reading, writing, speaking, and listening) is required. Knowledge of other UN languages is an asset e.g. French, Spanish.
Applicants to UNFPA internship programme must meet the following requirements at the time of their application:
A. Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a Master’s programme or higher);
B. Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (such as a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent);
C. Have recently graduated with a university degree (as defined in (A) and (B) above) and, if selected, must start the internship within one year of their graduation;
D. Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship programme and undertake the internship as part of this programme.
