Overview
Africa CDC’s Mental Health Leadership Programme is equipping mental health practitioners, public health professionals, policymakers, researchers, and community leaders with the tools to drive meaningful change. In partnership with the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) in Nairobi, Africa CDC is supporting participants in the Mental Health Leadership and Advocacy Course, led by renowned African and international experts. This course empowers professionals to enhance mental health leadership and advocacy throughout the continent.
About Africa CDC Mental Health Leadership Advocacy Course
The Mental Health Leadership and Advocacy Course is scheduled for the period from May 12th -23rd, 2025 Kenya Medical Training College, Nairobi. Africa CDC Mental Health Leadership Programme (MHLP) will sponsor public health professionals, mental health enthusiast and persons with lived experience with innovative projects to strengthen mental health systems in Africa to attend the course in Nairobi, Kenya.
MHLP is a three-year flagship programme aimed at preparing leaders to apply multifaceted approaches to understand and address mental health on the continent through a public health and human rights lens, to influence mental health policy, legislation and practice at all levels of the healthcare systems.
