Arctic Basecamp youth mission
Youth and Early Career Science voices are essential to the climate movement. They bring the energy, the fight, and the grit to the conversation. They have the power to make those in power listen.
Arctic Basecamp aims to help young people level up their activism and career goals by offering tools, scientific information, and projects. Our resources and opportunities offer individuals the boost they may need for their next steps.

The Youth Climate Ambassador programme
The Arctic Basecamp Ambassadors are young climate voices and early career scientists / researchers who collaborate with Arctic Basecamp to get their message out into the world. The aim of the Youth Climate Ambassador programme is to provide young climate activists and early career researchers with tools and connections to help them in their activism and future careers.
Being an ambassador is a 1-year commitment and collaboration with Arctic Basecamp. Responsibilities can range from sharing and producing content to delivering speeches at events. In exchange, we offer scientific resources, networking opportunities with people in the climate space, promotion on our social networks, and possible access to online and physical climate events.

Youth Climate Ambassadors (Deadline 13 November)
Are you a motivated individual tackling climate issues between the ages of 18-25? Then becoming a youth climate ambassador might be right for you!
This programme:
- Will help you to make killer climate content
- Gets you connected to climate experts and gain knowledge from them
- Gives opportunities to join us at global events
What we expect from you
- To be passionate about climate change and curious about the science behind it
- To work with us for one year
- To regularly create climate content with us
- To share the work we do with your network, both online and offline

Climate Science Ambassadors (Deadline 13 November)
Are you an early career scientist or researcher between the ages of 22-30?
Climate Science Ambassadors collaborate with Arctic Basecamp and are connecting points between us, their communities and peers.
What you will do:
- Take advantage of the stage we offer to discuss Arctic and climate relevant science and add to the conversation
- Strengthen your resume by taking part in short-term projects
- Increase your profile in the climate space
- Join us at global events such as the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos in January 2024
- Take part in press opportunities
- Benefit from 1 on 1 meetings with our science and communications team
- Engage with youth ambassadors and act as scientific mentors
Candidate qualifications
- Aged between 22-30
- Finished Masters/ PHD students/ post doc
- Climate related major research field
- Confident at public speaking
- Have an idea of how joining us in Davos would benefit you (after receiving briefing documents)
