Campaign Operations Manager – Climate & Energy Job description

The Climate and Energy team at Greenpeace International (GPI) is looking for a Campaign Operations Manager to support the core team in all operational processes, manage information flows for the campaign portfolio and tracks and monitors projects and budgets, so that GPI and National & Regional Organisations (NROs) can access up to date and accurate information on the Global Programme. In this Campaign Operations Manager role, you will ensure clear internal communication, maintain internal networks and implement administrative, financial and logistical aspects for the Climate & Energy co-leads and the core team in order to enable smooth day-to-day operations of the campaign portfolio.

In this role you will:

  • Manage information flow for the campaign portfolio including providing information for the external global website. Ensure up to date project documents are readily accessible in order that NROs can access information regarding what is being planned and executed across the campaign at any given time.
  • Liaise with NRO Programme Directors and GPI departments to ensure appropriate support is provided in particular for personnel and financial management issues.
  • Arrange skillshares and training opportunities in collaboration with NROs and Programme Managers and Engagement Support Managers.
  • Liaise with Distributed Campaigning Project Manager to ensure resource allocations are coordinated and accountability requirements are fulfilled
  • Build and maintain internal networks for the campaign in order to facilitate information flow and identification of opportunities for collaboration.
  • Coordinate with NROs, Climate & Energy co-leads and the core team inorder to compile campaign wide inputs for organizational planning and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor the flow and status of funds of all projects, including liaising with GPI funding managers to track and report on grants, in order to enable the Climate & Energy co-leads to manage the financial performance of the basket.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Climate & Energy co-leads and core team.

  • Ability to demonstrate sufficient experience acquired in a similar role, which includes working internationally.
  • Experience in working across borders and with multicultural teams.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Budget management skills
  • High sense of personal accountability and ability to hold others accountable
  • A highly organised, creative problem-solver, who is flexible and resilient;
  • Demonstrable support for and belief in the Greenpeace network core aims and values.
  • Digital literacy skills; the ability to learn and utilise our digital platforms to successfully perform the role function (familiarity with G-Suite, Slack and Zoom is an advantage)
