Apply for the GIZ Internship in Project Management/ Control, Monitoring & Knowledge Management (€2,134.52 monthly intern salary)
Overview
A better life for everyone and meaningful tasks for its employees – that is GIZ model for success. For more than 50 years, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), as a German government company, has been supporting the global implementation of development policy goals. Together with partner organizations in 120 countries, GIZ is involved in a wide variety of projects.
Field of activity
Global supply chains shape the lives of billions of people and influence the environment, biodiversity and climate. The sector project (SV) Sustainable Agricultural Supply Chains promotes the improvement of social, economic and ecological sustainability in global agricultural supply chains on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It is part of the cluster “Sustainable Agricultural Supply Chains Initiative” (SASI), which consists of three complementary agricultural supply chain projects.
The SV focuses on selected agricultural products such as cocoa, coffee, palm oil and topics such as combating abusive child labor, living incomes and wages as well as forest and climate protection. The project advises the client and promotes both industry-specific and cross-stakeholder multi-actor partnerships and alliances. In doing so, it relies on a coordinated, strategic approach with the relevant stakeholders from politics, the private sector and civil society.
The GIZ Internship in Project Management/ Control, Monitoring & Knowledge Management supports ongoing processes and specific tasks in the project cycle of the SV NA, as well as in the cooperation of the SV NA with related projects in the field of sustainable agricultural supply chains. The GIZ Internship in Project Management/ Control provides insights into the work of a sector project, the acquisition of overview knowledge on working on sustainable agricultural supply chains, and the familiarization with official processes of project management and monitoring of development cooperation projects.
