Apply for the GIZ Internship in the Project Partnerships for Sustainable Trade (€2,134.52 monthly intern salary)
Overview
A better life for everyone and meaningful tasks for its employees – that is GIZ model for success. For more than 50 years, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), as a German government company, has been supporting the global implementation of development policy goals. Together with partner organizations in 120 countries, GIZ is involved in a wide variety of projects. If you want to make a difference in the world and develop yourself in the process, you have come to the right place.
Field of activity
The global project “Partnerships for Sustainable Trade” is looking for an intern at the Eschborn location.
The Partnerships for Sustainable Trade promote sustainable, efficient, simple and transparent trade.
Trade facilitation and the use of digital solutions make customs procedures more efficient and reduce transaction costs. This also contributes to the BMZ strategy “Digitalization for Development” and supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which benefit from a transparent trading system and can create jobs and prosperity in the long term.
In concrete projects worldwide, the time and costs of cross-border trade are measurably reduced. The project supports emerging and developing countries in reducing bureaucratic barriers and in designing efficient and secure customs procedures – especially through digital solutions. The basis for GIZ strategy is the World Trade Organization Agreement on Trade Facilitation. GIZ projects also support the implementation of trade facilitation measures within the framework of regional trade agreements, such as the Pan-African Free Trade Area. They thus contribute to Agenda 2030 and the United Nations’ global goals for sustainable development.
