About MENA CLIMATE WEEK FELLOWSHIP
Ahead of the much-anticipated COP28 in Dubai, UAE, regional Climate Weeks will be held this year to build momentum ahead of the UN Climate Change Conference COP28 in Dubai and the conclusion of the first global stocktake, designed to chart the way for fulfilling the Paris Agreement’s key goals.
Arab Youth 4 COP initiative is committed to strengthening, elevating, and empowering Arab youth voices to help drive systemic change and to drive real world momentum into the UN Climate Change negotiations. As part of our continuous efforts to support Arab Youth to bring their diverse voice at various UN climate events, we will be providing capacity building and financial support to young Arabs to attend MENA Climate Week in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to mobilize a united voice and call for action.

Eligibility for MENA CLIMATE WEEK FELLOWSHIP
Eligible Countries
The 22 members of the Arab League as of 2022 are
Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
Must be a young person between 18 -35 years
Must be of Arab nationality or resident
Must have basic and relevant experience in climate related work
Must be actively involved in climate change initiatives in the Arab region.
Must commit to minimum 10 hours a month to the fellowship
Must commit to the values and mission of Arab Youth 4 COP initiative
