Call for applications: Campaign BGF 2024-2025 French Government Scholarship for a Master’s degree (academic year 2024/2025)

The cooperation and cultural action service of the French Embassy offers scholarships for the Master’s degree (2 years). These French Government scholarships are primarily intended for students enrolled in one of the 15 public institutions of higher education in Mali.

French Government Scholarships Benefits

The fellowship programme covers:
-Enrolment fees for the 2 years of the Master’s degree.
-Social and supplementary health coverage.
-The cost of living through the payment of a monthly allowance of EUR 700 for the duration of the master’s degree (2 years).
-A round-trip ticket (departure and return at the end of the master’s degree).

1. General timetable

The application procedure is 100% dematerialised and all the documents constituting the application file must be sent to BGFmaster-2024-institutfrancaismali.org.
An acknowledgement of receipt will be sent upon receipt of each file.
-22 January 2024: date of distribution of the call for applications via the various networks;
-30 January 2024: deadline for submission of applications (sent to the address indicated above);
-30 January to 2 February 2024: analysis of cases;
-10 February 2024: Publication of the list of pre-selected candidates
-30 January to 2 February 2024: pre-selected candidates’hesiness
-20 February 2024: publication of the list of fellows 2024/2025
– selected candidates will be contacted by Campus France to mount their administrative files.
-Week of 1 August 2024: “prepared preparation” workshops at the Espace Campus France.

2. Modalities of application

This call for applications is addressed to students from public higher education institutions in Mali:
-The University of Science, Technology and Technology of Bamako (USTTB)
-The University of Human Arts and Sciences of Bamako (ULSHB)
-The University of Social Sciences and Management of Bamako (USSGB)
-The University of Legal and Political Sciences of Bamako (USJPB)
-The University of Ségou
-The Ecole Normale Supérieure de Bamako (ENSup)
-The School Normale d’Endiment Technique et Professionnel (ENETP)
-The Polytechnic Rural Institute for Training and Applied Research (IPR-IFRA)
-The Abderhamane-Baba-Touré National School of Engineers (ENI/ABT)
-The Centre for Research and Training for the Textile Industry (CERFITEX),
-The National Institute for Training in Health Sciences (INFSS)
-The National Institute for the Training of Social Workers (INFTS)
-The National Institute of Youth and Sports (INJS)
-The Higher School of Journalism and Communication Sciences (ESJSC)
-The Institute of Economic and Legal Sciences (I-SEJ).

Students must hold a Bachelor’s degree obtained in one of these institutions at the time of application and have a study project corresponding to one of the training courses described in that call.
Candidates enrolled in the first year of the master’s degree may also apply.
Successful candidates will receive a French government grant to pursue master’s studies (two years) at a higher education institution.

– Training materials selected

The following courses have been identified taking into account the absence or weak number of training offers in these areas in Mali and the potential for professional opportunities for graduates.
-Environment and sustainable development: ecological transition, water engineering and the environment, agroecology, vulnerabilities and unequal access to and uses of natural resources.
-Engineering sciences and technologies: mechatronics, energy engineering, industrial engineering, food engineering.
-Mathematics and computing: data science, telecommunications and networks, digital.
-Management sciences: business management and administration, entrepreneurship and project management, public management
-DéveloppementDevelopment: gender study, urban development studies, population, foresight
Eligibility conditions
Students who meet the following criteria may be applied:
– Be enrolled or graduated from one of the 15 institutions listed in this call
Being a Malian national
Be less than 27 years of age as at 31 December 2024
Hold a bachelor’s degree from a Malian public higher education institution
Have a study project in one of the selected training courses

Composition of the application file

The application package includes the following documents:
1. The application form (completed and signed)
2. Letter of motivation explaining the draft studies and the professional project
3. 3. Curriculum vitae
(in French)
4. Certificate and transcript of the Baccalaureate
5. Copy of the last degree obtained from Bachelor’s Degree or Master 1
6. A copy of the transcripts for all years of study after the baccalaureate.
7. Proof of identity: a copy of the Malian passport or identity card
8. Copies of language level certificates, if any
9. A copy of birth certificate

All documents must be transmitted only by electronic means in PDF format (pdf format, 5 MB max for each document) by 30 January 2024 by email to the following address: BGFmaster-2024-institutfrancaismali.org. Any file that is incomplete or submitted beyond that deadline will be rejected. The registration of applications will be confirmed by an e-mail within 72 hours of receipt of the application, by email. Any incomplete file will be rejected.
