Call for Applications: Join GEF Expanded Constituency Workshop as a Youth Delegate – Fully funded to Equatorial Guinea
Overview
This year the Global Environment Facility is hosting several Expanded Constituency Workshops (ECWs), with the next ECW focused on the Central Africa constituencies. These include Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, São Tomé and Príncipe.
As part of GEF’s Youth Engagement Strategy, YOUNGO has been invited to nominate 1 delegate from the aforementioned countries for the GEF Expanded Constituency workshop (and an additional one to make 2 if funding pool allows-conditional). The GEF Expanded Constituency Workshop will take place in Equatorial Guinea during the last week of April, starting on the 28th.
They are looking for candidates that have some knowledge of the GEF and are working on the ground in their countries. During these ECWs, a 4-day workshop, the delegates have a chance to learn about GEF programming, policies, and participate in discussions on how to better prepare projects, how to move into GEF-9, etc. (depending on the agenda that will be shared in advance). The youth delegates are also expected to contribute, sharing their experiences, challenges, and ideas to better improve the GEF, as well as GEF’s work on the ground.
